Preparing the Land 

The transformation of Stonewall Resorts began in 2016 with a focus on preparing the dense, wooded property for development. This initial year involved significant land clearing, ensuring that the natural beauty of the area was preserved while making room for future campsites. In tandem with the physical work, we secured the necessary permits and carefully designed the layout of the campground. These foundational efforts laid the groundwork for turning an untouched wilderness into a welcoming retreat.

Initial Development and Growth

With the land prepared, the next phase in 2017 saw the construction of the first 20 campsites. These initial sites marked the official launch of Stonewall Resorts. Although the campground started slowly, it steadily attracted visitors who appreciated the blend of natural beauty and modern amenities. Over these two years, we focused on building a reputation for quality and service, which helped establish a loyal customer base and set the stage for future expansions.

Expanding the Campground

In 2019, with demand increasing, we expanded the campground by adding 10 more sites, bringing the total to 30. This expansion allowed us to accommodate more guests and continue growing our reputation as a premier camping destination. The campground often reached full capacity on weekends, signaling strong demand and the need for further development. These years solidified Stonewall Resorts as a favored destination for both locals and tourists.

Significant Growth and Infrastructure Development

By 2021, we were ready to double our capacity, receiving approval to add 20 more sites. However, this expansion required significant infrastructure upgrades, so in 2022, we installed septic and water lines to support the additional sites. This crucial step ensured that Stonewall Resorts could offer the amenities and conveniences that guests expected while maintaining environmental sustainability. These infrastructure improvements were a key milestone in our journey, enabling us to provide a higher standard of service.

Full Expansion Approval

Following the installation of essential utilities, 2023 marked the year we fully realized our expansion goals. In 2024, we received final approval to complete the installation of the remaining sites, bringing the total to 70. This milestone was the culmination of years of planning, development, and growth. Stonewall Resorts now stands as a fully developed campground, ready to meet the needs of a growing number of visitors while continuing to offer a peaceful retreat in a natural setting.

Preparing for the Future

As we look ahead, Stonewall Resorts is positioned for long-term success. With 70 operational sites and a strong infrastructure in place, the focus now shifts to sustaining this growth while exploring new opportunities for further development. Plans are in place to enhance amenities, increase community engagement, and potentially expand further to meet future demand. The journey from a wooded wilderness to a welcoming retreat has been remarkable, and we are excited about the continued growth and success that lies ahead.

Have a camper and need a place to stay during your travels. Nightly Rentals come anytime after 9am and just need to leave before 12pm. Stay one night or as many as you would like.
